Accessibility Statement

Government software must be usable by everyone it serves. Ithil is designed and built to WCAG 2.1 Level AA and Section 508, and we treat accessibility as a requirement of the product, not a feature of it.

Conformance target

Ithil targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) describing conformance is available on request.

Built in, not bolted on

Reduced-motion honoring (OS preference and an in-app setting), assistive-technology-stable text, keyboard operability, and visible focus are enforced by shared components rather than left to per-screen discipline.

Color and contrast

The interface ships light and dark themes that both meet AA contrast ratios. Status is never communicated by color alone.

Motion and animation

Animation respects prefers-reduced-motion at the OS level and an in-app Reduced Motion toggle. Nothing auto-loops or moves without user intent.

Keyboard and screen readers

All interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard, with semantic landmarks and labels for screen-reader users.

Ongoing testing

Accessibility is verified with automated checks in our build pipeline and manual review on key workflows. Regressions are treated as defects.

Request the VPAT or report a barrier

To request our current VPAT, or if you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere in the platform, email contact@ithil.ai with the page or workflow, the assistive technology you were using, and what you expected to happen. We acknowledge reports within two business days and prioritize fixes that block a user from completing a task.

Accessibility is a procurement requirement we already meet
