Drawings and plan room

The drawing set is the record of what was built. Ithil holds it under revision control so the version a technician opens in the field is the version that is actually current, not the one that was printed last month.

Revision control

Every sheet moves through a lifecycle: draft, in review, approved, issued, superseded. When a new revision is issued the old one is not deleted, it is marked superseded and kept. The full history of who changed what and when is immutable, which is what makes an as-built admissible later.

Markups and discipline filtering

Overlay markups on a sheet without altering the source file. Filter the set by discipline, electrical, mechanical, structural, architectural, fire protection, controls, so a trade sees its own sheets first. The list is server-sorted and counts each discipline, so it stays fast on a set with thousands of sheets.

Offline in the field

Plan sets cache to the device and open without a connection. Cached drawings are managed with a size budget that evicts the least-recently-used sheets, so a phone or tablet holds the sheets a crew is actually working from. A drawing under legal hold is preserved against deletion regardless of retention settings.
